Gérald Charles Genta was born in Geneva on May 1st 1931. He completed a training as jewelry designer and in 1951 finished it with the Swiss Federal Diploma. In 1972 Gérald Genta wrote watch history with the stainless steel watch Royal Oak, developed for Audemars Piguet. In 1976 Patek Philippe presented the luxury sports watch Nautilus, created by Gérald Genta. In 2001, again he founded the brand Gerald Charles and again launched own watches on the market.
